Korean court rules forcing soldiers to attend religious events as unconstitutional

The Constitutional Court of Korea ruled Thursday that forcing soldiers to attend religious events during training in the military is unconstitutional.
In a vote of nine, six judges voted that forced attendance of religious events is unconstitutional, and three voted otherwise.
The Constitutional Court said that forced attendance infringes on the freedom of religion as outlined in the constitution of Korea.
