Lineup for Golden Disc Awards ceremony partially announced

The annual Golden Disc Awards announced Wednesday part of the lineup of performers for this year’s event slated to take place at 8 p.m. on Jan 7 in Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The K-pop acts that will perform at the annual awards ceremony include NewJeans, Le Sserafim, Seventeen, Stray Kids, Enhypen and Treasure.

NewJeans will be participating in the awards ceremony for the first time as it only debuted in August. But the group is already seeing so much success, being nominated as Rookie Artist of the Year. NewJeans is competing against an array of K-pop acts including Atbo, Billlie, IVE, Kep1er, Le Sserafim, TNX, Nmixx, Yena among others. The group will perform “Hype Boy” and “Attention.”

Treasure, which is nominated in the Best Album category for “The Second Step: Chapter One” will also be flying over to Bangkok to showcase a performance. It’s competing against numerous groups and singers including Seventeen with its fourth album “Face the Sun.”

Tickets to the awards ceremony will become available from noon on Dec. 12. It will be broadcast via JTBC, the event’s organizer.
