Korea's Hanbit No. 4 nuclear reactor will resume operations after five years, with the Korea Institute of Nuclear Safety determining Friday that it is safe to restart the reactor.

Operations of Hanbit No. 4 have been suspended since 2017 because of air gaps discovered within the reactor. A starting date has not been given.
