Lotte Corporation sponsors team of 4 Korean skiers, snowboarders

Lotte Corporation created a team of four skiers and snowboarders, sponsoring the athletes as they prepare for the upcoming Milano Cortina Winter Olympics in 2026.

The four athletes include Lee Chae-un, a 16-year-old who finished 18th in the men’s snowboard halfpipe at the Beijing Winter Olympics, and Choi Ga-on, who took the gold for the women’s snowboard halfpipe at the 2022 Park and Pipe Junior World Championships.

Lee Seung-hun, who ranked 16th in the men’s freestyle ski halfpipe at the Beijing Winter Olympics, and Jung Dae-yoon, who ranked 13th in the freestyle ski men's moguls at the 2022 Freestyle Ski World Cup, are also part of the team.

Lotte Corporation will fund the athletes’ training expenses, provide necessary training equipment and help take care of their health. The company will also help them in other areas unrelated to their sports such as learning English.

A manager will be assigned to the four athletes, who will help them with visa applications and manage their training schedules.

The four athletes are part of the national ski and snowboard team and will continue to receive coaching and training from the national team.

“I am very happy to be part of Lotte’s ski and snowboard team and will train and do my best to become an exceptional athlete,” said Lee Seung-hun in a statement.
