Subway trains on Line 4 of the Seoul Metro passed by Samgakji Station Wednesday morning due to protests held by the Solidarity Against Disability Discrimination (SADD). Regular operation resumed as of 9:15 a.m.

The SADD has been holding regular protests in recent weeks, demanding more policies to ensure the rights of those with disabilities. The Seoul Metropolitan Government had made the decision Monday that in case of serious delays caused by protests by the SADD, trains will pass by Samgakji Station, a major transit hub, instead of stopping.

Trains were not stopped Tuesday, but with the increased delays due to protests Wednesday, the city government and Seoul Metro made the decision in the early morning to pass the station. A shuttle bus from Sinyongsan Station to Sookmyung Women’s University Station was put in place to relieve the inconvenience for commuters.
