“Avatar: The Way of Water” remains top of the box office for eight consecutive days while “Hero” landed in the second spot on the first day of its release. 
 
“Avatar: The Way of Water” by director James Cameron brought in 242,952 viewers in one day on Wednesday. The cumulative number of viewers is 3,444,637.
 
The Korean musical drama film “Hero,” centered on historical figure Ahn Jung-geun and directed by Yoon Je-kyun, had a strong start. It attracted 105,472 viewers on the day of its premiere, with a cumulative total of 116,649.
 
All eyes are on the competition between two of the leading American and Korean directors Cameron and Yoon. Yoon has directed hit films such as the disaster blockbuster “Tidal Wave” (2009) and “Ode to My Father” (2014).
