Woori Financial Group Chairman Son Tae-seung will not vie to remain chairman of the company, according to local media reports Wednesday. 

Woori Financial Group's board members are holding a meeting today where they will decide on a list of recommendations for the next chairman. 

Son's term finishes this year.
