More than 1 million traveling via secondary Korean airports this holiday

More than a million passengers will be at airports in Korea other than the Incheon International Airport over this Lunar New Year holidays.
A total of 1,094,000 passengers will be flying to and from the other 14 airports across the country between Jan. 20 and Jan. 24, according to an announcement by Korea Airports Corporation (KAC) on Thursday. This is down 6.3 percent from 1.27 million forecasted over the same holiday period last year in terms of average number of daily passengers.
A total of 6,613 flights will be operating over the five-day period with 96 additional domestic flights and 11 international. The KAC plans to open all security checkpoints and station more personnel during busy times.
Gimpo International Airport will be busiest on Saturday, Gimhae on Sunday and Jeju on Tuesday.
