After the Yoon Suk Yeol administration raised utility rates, including LNG prices, from the start of the Year of the Rabbit, the People Power Party (PPP) and the Democratic Party (DP) are sharply split over who’s responsible for the rate hikes. While the PPP put the blame on the DP citing its reluctance to lift the fees over fear of election defeats, the DP attributes it to the inability of the Yoon government led by the PPP to handle state affairs.
