Thirsty F-35A

The Korean Air Force’s stealth fighter F-35A Freedom Knight being fueled midair by the multipurpose aerial tanker KC330 on Tuesday. This is the first time the Air Force has published a photo of an F-35A during aerial refueling since the fighter was added to the Korean arsenal in 2019. The image came a day after North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles in the East Sea. The distance that the missiles traveled were the same as two airbases: Cheongju in North Chungcheong and Gunsan in North Jeolla. Korean F-35As are stationed in Cheongju while U.S. F-16s are located in Gunsan.[KOREA AIR FORCE]
