NewJeans to appear in ads for McDonald's Korea
NewJeans has been selected to appear in advertisements for McDonald’s Korea.
The girl group will start promoting McDonald’s from next month, according to the brand on Monday.
McDonald’s Korea chose NewJeans because the group’s mystique and fresh image fit well with the brand's aim of offering new tastes with upgraded, new menu items.
NewJeans will start by promoting McCrispy, a chicken burger of McDonald’s, which was released last May.
The girl group will also promote new McDonald’s items to be released next month, and release a promotional video as part of its campaign.
The new chicken burger, "fits well with the popular NewJeans’ trendy mood and will create a positive synergy,” said a spokesperson from McDonald’s Korea.
NewJeans, with members Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein, is a rookie girl group that debuted last year and stormed the global K-pop scene with successive hits, such as “Attention,” “Hybe Boy,” “Ditto” (2022) and “OMG” (2023). The girl group is represented by ADOR, a label under HYBE.
