Hyundai Elevator is joining a government-led consortium to win orders for Indonesian mega projects.

Hyundai Elevator will participate in One Team Korea, led by Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong, the company said through a press release on Wednesday. One Team Korea will be in Indonesia from Wednesday to Sunday.

Indonesia is planning to move its capital from Jakarta to a new city called Nusantara on the island of Borneo over environmental issues. The relocation of the capital will be take place in five phases through 2045.

Hyundai Elevator is the only elevator manufacturer that is participating in the bidding team. Through the participation, it seeks to promote exporting packages of urban construction and high-technology ordered from Indonesia, it added.

Hyundai Elevator has been work with more than ten companies, including LG Electronics, on robot-elevator linkage — such as a robot-only elevator and an open API (Application Programming Interface) in Naver’s 1784 office building. Hyundai Elevator plans to showcase its technology in Indonesia, and particularly aims to create international standards in the field.

"As a representative elevator company of the country and a member of One Team Korea, we will cooperate in the government's bid to win orders,” said Cho Jae-cheon, CEO of Hyundai Elevator. “We will do our best to explore and expand overseas markets, such as in Indonesia and the Saudi Arabian Neom City Project.”
