Lee Gi-kwang from boy band Highlight will release his first full-length solo album “Predator” on April 17, according to his agency Around Us Entertainment on Monday.
“Predator” will be Lee’s first solo release in four years, after his digital single “Nothing” released in 2019.
The first teaser image revealed on Monday showed a vibrant red and black design.
Orders for the album will begin on April 5 according to the teaser image.
Lee Gi-kwang first made his debut as a solo artist-actor in 2009 under the stage name AJ, by featuring in the MBC sitcom “High Kick Through the Roof” (2009-10). Lee then debuted as a member of boy band B2ST (Beast) on October 2009 under Cube Entertainment, known for hit songs “Fiction” (2011), “Beautiful Night” (2012), “Good Luck” (2014), “12:30” (2014) and more.
In 2017, five members of B2ST — Yoon Du-jun, Yang Yo-seop, Lee Gi-kwang, Son Dong-woon and Yong Joon-hyung — left Cube Entertainment and signed an exclusive contract with Around Us Entertainment, where they formed a band under the name Highlight. Yong left the band in 2019 amid allegations of him being involved in the Burning Sun scandal, and the boy band continued its activities as a four-member band.
