After battling over nearly all bills related to people’s livelihoods, the People Power Party (PPP) and the Democratic Party (DP) have joined hands in raising the upper limit on total project cost needed to build infrastructure or implement national-level R&D — both eligible to be exempt from mandatory preliminary feasibility studies — to 100 billion won ($75.4 million) from the current 50 billion won to help win votes in next year’s parliamentary elections.
