Blackpink's Jennie shines on Cannes red carpet

Jennie of girl group Blackpink walked the red carpet at the 76th Cannes International Film Festival on Tuesday.

Jennie played a character named Angel in the HBO drama series "The Idol," created by American singer The Weekend. Actor Lily-Rose Depp, The Weekend, Troye Sivan and Rachel Sennott also star in the series.

"The Idol" centers on the story of a pop star who suffers a nervous breakdown and seeks the help of a guru. The show is slated for release on HBO on June 4.
