Girl group Fifty Fifty's hit track "Cupid" became the longest-charting K-pop girl group song on the Billboard Hot 100, according to the girl group's agency ATTRAKT Wednesday.
"Cupid" landed No. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the week of May 27, one step down from the week of May 20.

This makes "Cupid" the longest K-pop girl group song to stay on the chart, surpassing "Ice Cream" (2020), girl group Blackpink's song with American singer Selena Gomez, which stayed on the chart for eight consecutive weeks upon its release.

"Cupid" also topped the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart for the week of May 27, making it the first and only K-pop girl group to rank No. 1 on the chart and also the only "all-female group of any genre, to reign with a debut entry on the chart" since the chart's creation in 2020," Billboard said.

Fifty Fifty is now the third K-pop group to have landed No. 1 on the chart, following boy band BTS, who ranked No. 1 six times, and Blackpink, who claimed the top spot three times.

Billboard said that the "Twin" mix of "Cupid" — an English version of the track sung by Sio and Aran — and the instrumental version, also trending on TikTok and other social media platforms, have played a key role in the song's popularity.

The track also landed No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200, which ranks songs based on streaming and album sales worldwide.

Fifty Fifty — with members Keena, Saena, Sio and Aran — debuted on Nov. 23 last year with its first EP, "The Fifty." The group's latest release, "Cupid," which dropped on Feb. 24, was received positively overseas while remaining relatively less known in Korea.
