Incheon Airport Corporation's "Home to Airport" service, which informs passengers of their travel time from home to the airport, has now become more accessible through private mobile applications.

Using big data and real-time passenger flow management data obtained from Incheon International Airport, the Home to Airport service provides travelers with estimated travel duration from their current location to the airport's boarding gate, once they input their flight details.

From Tuesday, the service has expanded its reach to include KB Kookmin Bank's KB Star Banking app and the KB Wallet website, according to the airport corporation. Korean internet giants Naver and Kakao are set to offer the service in the latter half of the year.

Previously, the service was exclusively accessible through Incheon International Airport's official website or the Incheon Airport app. However, in line with a government project led by the Presidential Committee on the Digital Platform Government and the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, it has now been made available through private platforms as well.

Incheon International Airport became the world's first airport to introduce such a service in September 2021.
