Hyundai Glovis announces partnership with The Ocean Cleanup to address global ocean plastic problem

Hyundai Glovis' CEO, Lee Kyoo-bok, left, and Boyan Slat, CEO of The Ocean Cleanup, pose for a photo at Hyundai Glovis' headquarters in eastern Seoul's Seongdong District on Wednesday, commemorating the signing of a partnership aimed at combating the global challenge of ocean plastic waste. Under the partnership, Hyundai Glovis will install cameras on their vessels to gather data on the location and size of floating plastic waste, which will then be shared with the Dutch non-profit organization. Furthermore, Hyundai Glovis will provide logistical support for the transportation of The Ocean Cleanup's specialized equipment, including purpose-built barges designed to collect plastic waste from the ocean's surface.
