(G)I-DLE adds Singapore and Macau shows to world tour
Girl group (G)I-DLE added stops in Singapore and Macau to its ongoing world tour, “I am FREE-TY.”
In addition to the 21 performances already announced, the girl group will perform in Macau on Oct. 14 followed by performances in Singapore on Oct. 29.
(G)I-DLE kicked off its second world tour with a two-day performance at Jamsil Arena, southern Seoul on June 17 and 18, selling out both days of the concert. With stops in Taiwan and Bangkok already completed, the girl group is set to perform in Hong Kong this weekend, followed by performances in five different cities around the United States beginning with its Aug. 4 San Francisco performance.
The group will also be performing in Britain, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Germany and Japan starting in September.
The girl group dropped its first U.S. digital single “I Do” last Friday, kicking off (G)I-DLE’s career in the United States.
Prior to the U.S. single, (G)I-DLE released its Korean EP, “I feel,” on May 15 featuring lead track “Queencard.” the lead track was written and produced by member Soyeon and other tracks also co-produced by fellow members of (G)I-DLE, the album sold over 1.1 million copies in the first week of its release, making (G)I-DLE the fifth girl group to sell over a million copies in the first week.
