Blackpink, Tomorrow X Together get nominations for MTV VMA

K-pop acts Blackpink and Tomorrow X Together have received nominations for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards (MTV VMA).
According to the official nominees list on MTV's website Wednesday, girl group Blackpink is in the running for four awards for their song "Pink Venom" (2022): Best Choreography, Best Art Direction, Best Editing and Best K-Pop.
Boy band Tomorrow X Together has been nominated for PUSH Performance of the Year award and Best K-Pop award through the song "Sugar Rush Ride" released in January.
PUSH Performance of the Year is an award given to an act that partook in MTV's monthly PUSH initiative, which aims to spotlight new music talent around the world.
K-pop acts aespa, Seventeen, Fifty Fifty and Stray Kids have also been nominated in the ceremony's Best K-Pop category.
This year's MTV VMA is slated to air live on Sept. 13 at New Jersey's Prudential Center.
