Boy band Tomorrow X Together has been certified double platinum for its second full-length Japanese album “Sweet” by the Recording Industry Association of Japan on Thursday.

In July, “Sweet” has sold over 500,000 copies.

It is the band’s second double platinum milestone following its third Japanese EP “Good Boy Gone Bad” (2022).

“Sweet” sold some 303,000 copies in the first week of release, making it the biggest one-week debut in Japan.

It also ranked No. 1 on the Oricon weekly albums chart. Tomorrow X Together is the first international artist to have eight consecutive albums land first place on that chart.

“Sweet” includes the Japanese versions of songs “Sugar Rush Ride,” “Good Boy Gone Bad,” “MOA Diary (Dubaddu Wari Wari)” and original Japanese songs like “Ring.”

The same day, Tomorrow X Together was named Dior’s latest ambassador. It is Dior’s first time to appoint an entire band as its ambassador.

Earlier this week, the band received two nominations for the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards, The PUSH Performance of the Year and the Best K-pop, both through “Sugar Rush Ride.”

The band is set to perform in the Philippines on Sunday as part of its second world tour “Tomorrow X Together World Tour <Act : Sweet Mirage>.”
