Bang Ye-dam signs with GF Entertainment

Singer-songwriter and producer Bang Ye-dam signed an exclusive contract with GF Entertainment, his new agency said Thursday.

Bang is a former member of YG Entertainment’s boy band Treasure.

“We recently signed an exclusive contract with Bang Ye-dam,” GF Entertainment said in a press release Thursday. “We are glad to sign with a talented artist. We plan on relentlessly supporting Bang Ye-dam, so he can be a musician who can excel as a producer, singer and in other aspects.”

Bang rose to fame after appearing on SBS’s audition program, “K-pop Star Season 2” back in 2013. He finished the show in second place and joined YG Entertainment. He debuted as a member of Treasure in 2019 but ended his exclusive contract with the agency in November 2022 and left the band to “provide him the environment to further grow as a producer,” according to YG Entertainment.

GF Entertainment is home to boy band Kingdom.
