LG Energy Solution Q3 operating profit sees 40% increase

LG Energy Solution's battery manufacturing plant in Poland [LG ENERGY SOLUTION]

LG Energy Solution posted 731.2 billion won ($545.7 million) in operating profit for the third quarter, up 40.1 percent compared to the same period the year before.

The figure beat market expectations of 675.1 billion won compiled by the market tracker FnGuide.

Sales increased 7.5 percent to 8.22 trillion won, slightly under the market consensus of 8.3 trillion won.

Net profit spiraled upwards 124 percent on year to 420.5 billion won, below the analysts' expectations of 535.1 billion won.
