More than 20 passengers were stuck for 20 minutes on a roller coaster at Gyeongju World, an amusement park in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang, on Saturday.

Gyeongju's city government said the Draken, which has the steepest vertical drop in Korea, suddenly stopped 55 meters (180 feet) above the ground at 5:37 p.m.

The ride resumed after safety personnel relaunched the ride at 5:57 p.m.

No one was reported hurt.

It is believed that the roller coaster stopped after a malfunction in the ride's safety sensor.

The Draken remains closed while safety inspections are under way.
