League of Legends player 'Doinb' buys $7.6 million luxury apartment in cash

League of Legends player Kim "Doinb" Tae-sang purchased a flat in Hannam The Hill, one of the most expensive apartment complexes in Korea, for 10.3 billion won ($7.6 million) all in cash.
 
The 26-year-old pro gamer purchased a 240-square-meter flat in the Hannam The Hill apartment complex in Yongsan, central Seoul, on Aug. 27, according to local media outlets.

No bank loan was included in the transaction, which means it is highly likely that Doinb bought it all in cash. 
 
Playing for China's The League of Legends Pro League, Doinb was recognized on various international stages including winning the World Championship 2019.

He married Tang Xiaoyo, a Chinese national known for her wealth, in 2018.  
 
The previous owner of the flat purchased it at 6.2 billion won in Oct. 2016, pocketing some 4.1 billion won. 
 
Built in 2011, Hannam The Hill is known for one of the most expensive apartment complexes in Korea with 600 households and a view of Han River. 
 
Celebrities like RM and Jimin from BTS, G-Dragon, actor So Ji-sub and couple Kim Tae-hee and Rain and families of major conglomerates are known to own flats in the Hannam The Hill complex.
