Rain, which is soaking much of the country except for South Gyeongsang and Jeju, is forecast to stop at night across Seoul, Incheon and northern Gyeonggi.
The Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) forecast intermittent rain or snow over inland areas of North Gyeongsang, parts of South Gyeongsang, the Jeolla region and Jeju until Tuesday morning.
The rainfall is expected to be less than 5 millimeters (0.19 inches).
The mountainous regions in Gangwon will see the heaviest snowfall between one centimeter (0.39 inches) to five centimeters. Jeju will see a snowfall of one to three centimeters. Northwestern inland areas of North Gyeongsang will receive less snow at around or less than one centimeter.
According to the KMA, the temperatures will remain similar or slightly higher than average years throughout the day.
As of 8 a.m., Seoul's temperature was marked at 4.8 degrees Celsius (40.64 degrees Fahrenheit). Daejeon and Daegu recorded 5.4 degrees Celsius and 5.3 degrees Celsius, respectively. Busan's morning temperature surpassed 10.4 degrees Celsius.
The daytime temperature will hover around eight and 17 degrees Celsius across the country.
From night, the cold air gliding southward will drop the temperature.
Tuesday's morning and daytime temperatures will be three to eight degrees Celsius lower than Monday's.
The central parts of the country will experience subzero temperatures.
