Female K-pop artists took over YouTube's list of the top 10 most popular music videos in Korea, with girl groups such as IVE and (G)I-DLE receiving recognition.

YouTube Korea wrapped up this year with the release of a year-end report of videos and clips that were popular in Korea, compiling domestic views from Jan. 1 to Oct. 31.

K-pop female artists took six of the 10 spots on YouTube's list of the top 10 music videos.

IVE topped the list with its track “I Am,” which was released on April 10. The group’s track “Kitsch” was also listed in the Top 10 at No. 4, making it the only act to put two of its tracks on the list.

(G)I-DLE sat at No. 3 with its track “Queencard,” followed by NewJeans’ “Super Shy” at No. 7 and aespa’s “Spicy” at No. 10. Blackpink's Jisoo also appeared as a solo artist with her track “Flower” taking No. 5.

Other solo artists also showed their power, despite the fact that groups dominated this year's K-pop scene.

Trot singer Lim Young-woong placed second on the list with his track “Grain of Sand.” BTS’s Jungkook was honored as a solo artist for his song “Seven,” featuring American rapper Latto, which placed No. 8.

Seventeen was the only K-pop boy band to be listed on the Top 10, with its track “Super” taking No. 9

Japanese duo Yoasobi was the only foreign artist to appear on the list, sitting at No. 6.

Among the other categories, this year's top trending video in Korea went to the 19th episode of “Not Much Prepared,” starring aespa's Karina as a guest. “Not Much Prepared” is a talk show YouTube channel hosted by rapper Lee Young-ji

Rapper Lee was also honored for being part of the year's most popular YouTube short, a video in which she danced to IVE's “I Am” alongside her fellow cast members of tvN's “Earth Arcade” — IVE's An Yu-jin, Oh My Girl's Mimi and comedian Lee Eun-ji.

American YouTuber MrBeast was named the top creator in Korea. MrBeast's channel features numerous challenges and large giveaways.
