LG Twins sign Dietrich Enns on one-year, $1 million deal

The LG Twins have signed foreign pitcher Dietrich Enns on a one-year deal worth up to $1 million, the maximum payout to a first-year foreign player.

Enns, 32, will receive a $600,000 guaranteed salary with a $300,000 signing bonus and up to $100,000 in incentives.
 
The left-hander heads to the Twins for a debut season in the KBO, fresh off of two seasons in Japan.
 
Enns, who spent the majority of his American career in the Minor leagues, signed with the Saitama Seibu Lions ahead of the 2022 season.
 
He earned a career 3.62 ERA with 11 wins and 17 losses across 35 games over two seasons in the Nippon Professional Baseball League.
 
Before his move to Asia, Enns spent the majority of his career in the Minor leagues but made his MLB debut all the way back in 2012.
 
In the Minors, Enns pitched a 3.32 ERA over 55 wins and 40 losses.
 
KBO teams are allowed to sign up to three foreign players per year. The Twins earlier re-signed ace Casey Kelly and Austin Dean, filling up their foreign player roster for the 2024 season.
 
The KT Wiz, runners-up to the Twins in this year’s Korean Series, have also filled up their foreign player roster before the new year.
