"Much pain has occurred due to certain media outlets' abrupt visits to the late actor's house, agency office and funeral," the late actor's agency, Hodu&U Entertainment, said in a press release on Thursday.
"The sudden visits of people identifying themselves as YouTubers, day and night, have made the situation unbearable and brutal [...] We ask with the utmost sincerity that you all consider the agony of the surviving family and colleagues as they send off their loved one."
The procession to Suwon, Gyeonggi, for Lee's cremation will be held privately, the agency added.
The "Parasite" actor was found dead on Wednesday inside a car in Seoul. He was undergoing a police investigation on suspicions of drug use. He was 48.
The actor's funeral was set at the Seoul National University Hospital's funeral home in Jongno District, central Seoul, on the same day.
The premiere of "Mission: Cross," a film starring Lee's wife, actor Jeon Hye-jin, was delayed after his death, according to its distributor Plus M Entertainment.
The film was to open in February. The new premiere date has yet to be announced, according to media reports.
The release dates of Lee's posthumous works may be moved, including The Land of Happiness" and "Project Silence," according to media reports.
CJ ENM, the distributor of "Project Silence," told the media no decision had been made regarding moving the film's release date.
"The film 'The Land of Happiness' is currently not in the stage to discuss when it will be released as it is in its post-production stage," the distributor Next Entertainment World was quoted as saying in media reports.
