After the minor Basic Income Party proposed that the majority Democratic Party (DP) “jointly establish a coalition satellite party to get more proportional seats” in the legislature, the DP is mulling the proposal. In the meantime, the governing People Power Party (PPP) wants to assign the 47 seats reserved for proportional representation according to the number of seats they won in elections in constituencies.
