Average prices for gasoline and diesel at gas stations in Korea moved up for the first time in 17 weeks following the rise of global oil prices. The average price of gasoline in the fifth week of January was 1,579 won ($1.2) per liter, up 15.3 won from a week earlier, according to Opinet, the Korea National Oil Corporation’s oil price management system.
