After Democratic Party (DP) leader Lee Jae-myung on Monday announced a plan to allow satellite parties to emerge before the April 10 parliamentary elections, former DP leader Song Young-gil said he will create a satellite party aimed at dismantling “the politically-motivated prosecution.” Song is currently detained for his alleged involvement in cash handouts to get elected chairman of the party in 2021.
