More than 50 percent of the Korean population reside in the greater Seoul area, which includes Seoul, Gyeonggi and Incheon, according to December data from Statistics Korea on Wednesday. The number of individuals employed in the capital area also makes up 51.6 percent of the entire population. The photo above shows Seoul as viewed from Namhansanseong Fortress in Gwangju, Gyeonggi.
