Hip-hop power couple Tiger JK and Yoonmirae took part in the soundtrack album for the new edition of the basketball game series “NBA 2K” with the track “VOoDOo BOogie.”

The album, titled “hella (˃̣̣̥╭╮˂̣̣̥) ✧ ♡ ‧º·˚,” is a joint project by 1999 Write the Future, a musical collective and multimedia experience created by record company 88rising. The album was released on streaming platforms on Friday.

The album also includes tracks from other famed artists including from hip-hop collective Wu-Tang Clan’s Ghostface Killah, rappers Rick Ross and Busta Rhymes, and hip-hop group De La Soul.

The music video for “VOoDOo Boogie” was released at 11 a.m. on Wednesday.

2K, the developer of the basketball simulator video game “NBA 2K,” announced on Feb. 7 that the soundtrack on the games will feature tracks from the album, as well as two other numbers.

Rapper and producer Tiger JK debuted as a solo artist in 1995, and found success as part of the hip-hop group Drunken Tiger, which was formed in 1998 with DJ Shine. He recently featured in boy band Stray Kids’ “Topline” (2023).

Yoonmirae has been active as a rapper since 1997, when she debuted as part of the group Uptown. She has then since worked as a part of other music groups and as a solo artist, and has also appeared in Korean entertainment shows including as a judge in the third and fourth seasons of audition program “Superstar K.”

The two rappers married in 2007.
