K-pop group ILLIT’s debut EP “Super Real Me” has set the record for the most copies sold in the first week of release by a debut girl group.
 
“Super Real Me” sold 380,056 copies from March 25 to 31, according to music industry tracker Hanteo Chart on Monday.

The record-breaking debut EP sold around 20,000 more copies than NewJeans’ debut EP, “New Jeans,” which sold 311,271 copies in its first week after releasing on Aug. 1, 2022.
 
“Super Real Me” now ranks in the top five of all K-pop EPs for the most copies sold in the first week of release.
 
The EP’s lead track “Magnetic” landed at No. 7 on Melon and No. 1 on Bugs's daily chart for Monday.
 
ILLIT was formed through JTBC’s idol audition program “R U Next?” (2023) and debuted under Belift Lab, a HYBE subsidiary, in March. The group consists of members Yunah, Minju, Moka, Wonhee and Iroha.
