Project boy band TOZ from Mnet’s reality competition show “Boys Planet” (2023) will make its “official” Korean debut on May 2 with its EP “TO my new friends," the band’s agency YY Entertainment said Tuesday.

TOZ consists of four Japanese members: Anthonny, Haruto, Yuto and Takuto. They were all high-scoring contestants on Mnet’s “Boy Planet” but did not make the cut for the show’s final debut band ZeroBaseOne.

“TO my new friends” is the band’s second EP in eight months after its debut EP, “Flare,” dropped in September last year. “Flare,” which consisted of five Japanese tracks, was released simultaneously in both Japan and Korea on Sept. 27.

The band has technically released music before, but the May EP will mark its "official" debut, according to the agency.

“TOZ will launch its global activities with ‘TO my new friends,’ the band’s first official album in Korea,” YY Entertainment said in a press release Tuesday.

All the lyrics on the upcoming EP will be in Korean, the agency said.

The band will perform on TV music shows, hold live concerts and feature in a variety of media content, YY Entertainment added.
