On Thursday, members of the Democratic Party (DP) visited the Suwon District Prosecutors’ Office and threatened to push for the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate former Deputy Gyeonggi Gov. Lee Hwa-young’s allegation that prosecutors tried to cajole him with drinks and salmon sashimi to accept his apparent involvement in SBW Group’s dubious remittance of $8 million to North Korea, to help then-Gov.
