NewJeans press ahead with promo photos as HYBE-ADOR feud continues

Photos for girl group NewJeans' upcoming single "How Sweet" set for release on May 24 [ADOR]

Girl group NewJeans released the first set of photos for its upcoming single, "How Sweet," on Friday morning, keeping its poise amid the ongoing bloodshed between its producer and agency ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin and parent company HYBE.

NewJeans released five new photos on Friday, flaunting a sporty-casual look for the group's four-track single set to drop on May 24. Preorders for the single began on Friday at 11 a.m., and a music video for one of the tracks, “Bubble Gum,” will be released tonight at midnight.

The single will be released in two different versions — the “normal” version and the Weverse version. The normal version will be a vinyl LP-sized package with portraits of each member, according to the girl group's agency ADOR. A book containing interviews with the members, a photo book, stickers, posters, photo cards, postcards and more will be included in the package.

Both Min and HYBE have promised to continue NewJeans' activities as planned, despite the ongoing battle between the two parties.

Min argued that HYBE forced her to keep NewJeans' promotion to a minimum before its debut to support HYBE's other girl group Le Sserafim instead.

HYBE has reported Min to the police for breach of trust.
