Unlike Children’s Day, Parents’ Day is not a statutory holiday in Korea but is nonetheless widely observed.

Tuesday’s event at the La Domus Art Center was hosted by the Yuseong District Office and sponsored by the local chapter of the Korea Senior Citizens Association. Around 600 senior citizens took part in the event, according to the organizers.
