A man runs on a treadmill installed at the Runners Station in Yeouinaru Station at Yeongdeongpo District, western Seoul, on Tuesday, its opening day.
The Runners Station is part of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's city project that aims to transform unused areas of subway stations into cultural and sports spaces for public use.
Lockers, changing rooms and bathrooms were installed at the Runners Base Camp on Yeouinaru Station's basement floor. A panel on the mezzanine level displays information on the weather, as well as running and sports activities hosted by the city.
