SK Telecom has set up a K-pop fan community space on its metaverse platform ifland where K-pop artists and their fans can meet up, the telecommunications company said Sunday.

The space, conceptualized as a hotel, has 99 floors, which will be checked in by K-pop artists on the floor of their choice. The home page will provide overall information about which K-pop artists have checked in on which floor. The artist lounge on each floor will have an independent space for fans where they can enjoy music videos or other related content. The platform will also have what's called a "member room," which will be dedicated to each member of the K-pop act, decorated with his or her own unique colors.

SM Entertainment girl group aespa will be the first guest of the hotel, checking in on the 99th floor. ifLANDIES, the metaverse platform's virtual K-pop girl group, will check in on the second floor. Boy band RIIZE and Sandara Park are also slated to check in at the hotel in late June and in September, respectively.

There will be missions given to each artist's fans on a two to three week basis. Winners will be given various prizes, such as signed CDs or invitations to meetup events with the artist.
