Medit, a dental 3-D-scanning solutions provider backed by private equity fund MBK Partners, said Thursday that it appointed Han Ryu as its new CEO.
 
With the appointment of the new head, Medit plans to strengthen its innovation pipeline and accelerate growth in its global business.
 
Ryu has over 30 years of senior management experience in multiple U.S. medical and healthcare companies such as Qorvo Biotechnologies and Siemens Healthineers. 
 
Since 2023, he has led Medit North America, driving growth in the regional market. As Medit’s chief growth & strategy officer, he restructured global sales and marketing and oversaw new product launches.
 
With Ryu's global management leadership and strategic expertise in driving innovation and growth, Medit is expected to focus more on customer-centered innovation, enhance strategic partnerships, and strengthen new product development.

Medit recently launched an intraoral scanner, the Medit i900, which is designed to enhance dental scanning processes.
 
The company specializes in developing state-of-the-art 3-D intraoral scanners and comprehensive dental solutions. It develops and produces dental and industrial 3-D scanners and related software based on 3-D measurement technology, developed entirely with Korean technology.
