Police said an officer discovered a young man who had fallen off an electric scooter on Tuesday evening near Hannam-dong in Yongsan District, central Seoul. Upon approaching to offer assistance, the officer recognized the individual as Suga, and at the same time, detected the smell of alcohol. The singer was then taken to a nearby police station.

Police reports indicate that Suga's blood alcohol concentration at the time exceeded the legal threshold of 0.08 percent, which warrants the revoking of a driver's license under the Road Traffic Act.

Suga is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service as a social service agent, a role that typically involves a regular daily work schedule, allowing him to return home after work hours. The BTS member is scheduled to complete his service in June next year.

HYBE, the entertainment company representing BTS, has yet to issue a statement regarding the incident.
