Amy Yang climbs to 11th on penultimate day of women's golf

Amy Yang climbed up to 11th place on the third day of the women’s golf tournament in Paris on Friday, finishing the day six strokes behind Morgane Metraux and Lydia Ko in tied first place.
 
Amy Yang hit a two-under, 70, on moving day, giving her a total score of three-under, 213. Hannah Green of Australia joins her tied for 11th.

Metraux of Switzerland holds on to a two stroke lead in first at nine-under, 207, but now joined by Lydia Ko of New Zealand, who rode a big four-under, 68, day to move into first place. Rose Zhang of the United States and Miyu Yamashita trail in tied third on seven under.
 
Yang is the highest-ranked Korean by some distance, with Kim Hyo-joo and Ko Jin-young dropping a spot to tie for 27th at three-over, 219, after both going one-over on Friday.
 
The women’s golf tournament concludes with the fourth round on Saturday.
