An official monitors the electricity supply at a Korea Electric Power Corporation power grid operation center in Suwon, Gyeonggi, on Tuesday.
Peak electricity demand hit an all-time high of 102.327 gigawatts from 2 to 3 p.m. on Monday, breaking the previous record of 100.6 gigawatts set on Aug. 7 of last year, according to the Korea Power Exchange.
