SHINee member Taemin will release his fifth solo EP, “Eternal,” on Monday.

“Eternal” drops approximately 10 months after Taemin’s fourth EP, “Guilty,” and just four days after the 10th anniversary of the SHINee member’s debut as a soloist.

“I always spend a lot of time thinking about what I should do and what I should show, and this album is a reflection of those thoughts,” said Taemin. “However, I didn't try to change anything consciously or attach great significance to my situation, even though it has changed considerably.”

“Eternal” is Taemin’s first album since joining Big Planet Made for his solo activities on April 1.

"Honestly, it doesn't seem like much has changed,” said Taemin. “No matter where I am, I’ve worked on my art the same way I always have. But of course, I’m learning how to communicate with the staff and navigating various aspects of this new dynamic."

The EP will feature seven tracks: lead tracks “Sexy In The Air” and “Horizon,” as well as “G.O.A.T,” “The Unknown Sea,” “Crush,” “Say Less” and “Deja Vu.”

“Sexy In The Air” is a track with sharp electric guitars paired with a passion for change and self-expression.

“It fits the hot weather these days,” said Taemin. “It is very fun and retro, and dancing along with the sound will give off a cool vibe. There is also a twist at the end with a drill beat switch.”

“Horizon” is a synth-pop track with an upbeat tempo, featuring lively and dynamic melodies that reflect Taemin breaking out of his familiar image.

“It is my first time doing a synth-pop song,” said Taemin. “The passionate performance that accompanies the song is captivating, so I hope you’ll enjoy watching it together."

Taemin will kick off his first solo world tour, “Ephemeral Gaze,” at Inspire Arena in Incheon on Aug. 31. He will then perform in Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong and further locations.

"I'm so happy and thankful that I can finally go on tour,” said Taemin. “Ever since I dreamed of becoming a singer, I imagined doing a tour like this, and it feels like it's finally coming true. I'm so excited."
