The government recently removed some sculptures of the Dokdo islets in public places, including subways, as they are too old. After the Democratic Party (DP) linked the move to President Yoon Suk Yeol’s effort to get along with Japan, the presidential office blamed the opposition for inciting citizens with anti-Japan sentiments.
