Daehan Cinema, Korea's oldest cinema, announced earlier this year that it would close its doors on Sept. 30, 66 years after opening, after failing to withstand a chronic deficit. The theater was Korea's largest when it opened in 1958.
The Century Company, also known as Segi Corporation, which owns the building, plans to transform it into a venue for immersive theater in order to improve its business structure.
