For those eagerly awaiting a K-pop album to complement the cool autumn breeze, rising boy band, The Wind, will deliver the perfect refreshing sound.

Boy band The Wind held a press event on Monday at the Ilchi Art Hall in southern Seoul to showcase “Hello: My First Love,” its first EP in eight months since the group's second EP “Our: YouthTeen.” The album explores the fresh emotions a shy boy feels while experiencing his first love. It carries a message of sincere confession — pure but a bit clumsy.

“It’s our first album in seven months and our first showcase since our debut album. I’m nervous to stand here in front of you. However, since we’ve worked hard for this album, we will show you how much we’ve improved,” said leader Kim Hee-soo.

“We’ve conveyed various messages about youth, but this is the first time we’ve used love as the theme for an album,” group member An Chan-won added.

Following the lead track are “Dandelion," "It Doesn’t Feel Like We're Just Friends," "Good Morning" and "The Way Home."

"We've poured our hearts into every track on this album, and we're confident that it showcases the strong bond we've formed as a group," the members said.

"The third track, 'It Doesn't Feel Like We're Just Friends,' holds a special meaning for me because I wrote my first rap lyrics for this song," said the group's rapper, Choi Han-bin.

When asked about the band's preparation for this album, Chan-won said “Personally, while preparing for this album, we all practiced hard and exchanged opinions, and in doing so, we were able to unravel the story of first love. We are also trying to improve our skills. I feel happy and grateful for that.”

“I think we have a unique, overwhelming emotion in our songs. By combining it with the keyword ‘first love,’ we can appeal to many people,” Han-bin added.

“Personally, I want to win first place on a music show. Since our strength is live performances, it’s my personal wish to do an encore performance live on a music show,” the group’s only foreign member from Thailand, Thanatorn, said, expressing his ambition when asked about what he and the group want to achieve.

The Wind debuted in May and is currently the youngest boy band in K-pop. The members’ average age is 17. It consists of six members, Kim Hee-soo, Thanatorn, Choi Han-bin, Park Hayuchan, An Chan-won and Jang Hyoun-joon.
