Commission to Monitor Politicians Following Elections
The National Election Commission, the nation's election watchdog, will keep a close eye following the general elections on politicians who compensate supporters with financial or other rewards.Political parties and their members who offer financial rewards or hold celebration banquets and street parades face prosecution under Article 118 of Korea's election laws.
However, candidates can use posters and placards to express their gratitude to voters.
